Drew Thurston

Drew Thurston grew up in the southeastern U.S. and took an interest in music at an early age. At 15 he taught himself bass and soon thereafter, drum kit. Drew has performed and recorded as a bassist in a variety of groups ranging from R&B/ pop to jazz, indie rock, blues, and electronic music. He has also built several electric instruments, including the hybrid dual neck bass/ baritone midi guitar used in Luxjive. With an affinity for technology, Drew is now on a quest to create a unique combination of integrated technology, dance, live instrumentation, and pop/electronic music into a new hybrid platform. Drew's musical influences are quite varied; Bjork, Radiohead, Disclosure, SBTRKT, Steely Dan, EWF, Marvin Gaye, Falty DL, Kaytranada, Toro Y Moi, Daft Punk, M83, Jamiroquai, Prince, Alicia Keys, Amon Tobin and many others.

Alfred Smith

Alfred continues to travel the unorthodox path of a renaissance man. Alfred originally trained as an actor at the University of Utah until the Griot (West African historians/storytellers) planted the seeds of dance into his soul. The rest is history as Alfred started training in Hip Hop. This entailed dancing with several modern/contemporary dance companies. Most recently keeping his core focus of training in ballet. Aldred views dance and art exactly as he views life: people and cultures are beautiful in their indigenous purity, but create an equally new kind of beauty through dance and immersion. To him there is no such thing as a type of dance or dancer. There is just DANCE.
